Dal Forno Romano 2008 Valpolicella Superiore

From one of Amarone's most esteemed producers, this shows lots of oak on the nose, along with ripe blackberry aromas. The palate is dominated by oak and vanilla, but it also has black cherry notes and ample acidity. It finishes on a note of drying wood tannins.
