Bindella 2010 Vallocaia (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

A blend of Sangiovese and 10% Colorino, this opens with aromas of red berry, fragrant flower, oak and a whiff of menthol. The firm palate delivers red cherry, raspberry, espresso, toasted oak and dried sage alongside tightly knit tannins that end on an astringent note. Give it time to unwind. Drink 2017–2022.
