Wittmann 2014 Westhofen Brunnenhäuschen Trocken GG Riesling (Rheinhessen)

Its lavish peach, citrus and blossom perfume makes the Westhofen Brunnenhäuschen stand out boldly in a lineup of Wittmann's excellent 2014 GG Rieslings. Its aromatic intensity extends into the palate, brightening its stony, slatey character. Supple yet steely, it finishes with a hint of lime-pith astringency. While elegant now, this wine should intensify in minerality with age.
