Bodegas Julián Chivite 2008 Coleccion 125 Blanco Fermentado en Barrica White (Navarra)

Nutty, oaky aromas along with a gold-brown maderized color indicate a wine past its prime. In the mouth, there's not much fruit left but there is a whole lot of weight and resiny oak. Lead flavors of almond and walnut oil suggest Sherry more than Chardonnay.
