Two Paddocks 2015 The Last Chance Proprietor's Reserve Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

Sometimes said to be the world's most southerly vineyard—it's certainly one of the most southerly vineyards—Last Chance is also fairly elevated. It's a difficult plot to ripen, and always seems a bit lean in style compared to its stablemates. The 2015 is floral and herbal on the nose, but full of bright and crispy-crunchy red fruit on the palate, finishing tart and strident.
