Castillo's Hillside Shire 2014 Merlot (Santa Clara County)

This bottling is very herbal on the nose, with bay leaf, pine needle, juniper, tart strawberry and black-pepper aromas. The palate shows sour red fruit, dried leather and much more forest-floor flavors.
