Blackbilly 2015 G-S-M (McLaren Vale)

Initial aromas are volatile yet attractive in dried autumn leaves, cola, baking spices and red currants, while the palate slaps you in the face with vice-like tannins and tart, mouth-puckering acidity. A bitter oak finish, without the fruit or structure doesn't hold it all together.
