Given the overall high quality of the 2010 vintage in Spain, this oaky, slightly volatile-smelling wine is just average. The palate is slightly stewed and cloying in feel, while ultraripe blackberry and raisin flavors come with a heaping spoonful of brown sugar and an echo of leather and herb stalks.
