Domaine Berthoumieu 2007 Tannatis Tannat (Vin de Liqueur)

Tannat, with its high tannins, seems to lend itself as well to sweet fortified wines as do the Douro grapes of Port country. This is sweet, but firmly, solidly tannic, packed with wild berries and an edge of spice.
