Château d'Aurilhac 2012 Haut-Médoc

While the nose exudes burnt-toast aromas, the palate is much better suited to fruit. It has wood flavors, certainly, but these are well balanced with the ripe berry fruits and dark, brooding structure. From just north of Saint-Estèphe, this wine will age well. Drink from 2018.
